Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers to the questions homeowners ask us most.

Are estimates really free?

Yes. We visit your home, walk the project with you, and provide a written estimate at no cost and with no obligation. We'd rather earn your business with a fair number than a sales pitch.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We're a licensed general contractor and carry full liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage. We're happy to provide certificates of insurance before work begins.

Do you handle permits and inspections?

We do. For any project that requires permits, we prepare the paperwork, pull the permits, and schedule the inspections so you don't have to deal with the city yourself.

How soon can you start my project?

It depends on the season and the size of the job. Small repairs can often be scheduled within a week or two; larger remodels are typically booked several weeks out. We'll give you an honest timeline with your estimate — and we stick to it.

How does payment work?

Most projects follow a simple schedule: a deposit to secure your start date, progress payments at agreed milestones, and the final payment only after your walkthrough. We never ask for full payment up front.

Do you warranty your work?

Yes. All of our work is backed by a written workmanship warranty, and manufacturer warranties apply to materials like roofing and windows. If something isn't right, we come back and fix it.

Will you work with my insurance company?

For storm and water damage repairs, we document the damage, provide detailed estimates in the format adjusters expect, and can meet your adjuster on site.

Do you use subcontractors?

Most work is done by our own crew. When a project calls for a specialty trade (like electrical or HVAC), we bring in licensed partners we've worked with for years — and we manage them, so you have one point of contact.
